Quoting posts

If you want to quote a post, how do you do it? There's two buttons; one says "quote" and the other says "quote +" ... I read the little preview hovery thing but I still don't feel much wiser and I don't really understand!

I used the "quote" button when I replied to a post just now but the post I was quoting already had a quote in it, and only the most recent quote was included, when I wanted to include them both.

Please explain!

Em x

Pressing the quote button enables you just to quote that post, and quote + means you can quote lots of different people! There's a thread floating around GC somewhere about it.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.

I just pressed the "quote" button on my own post...

And this time I pressed the "quote +" button on all of the posts, then pressed post reply.

The quote + doesn't work for me. I've pressed it on all of Sarah's posts & then gone on to post reply, and.. nothing.

Kayalove, can you do a screenshot step by step to what you're doing? Did you notice the Quote+ button change colour? And, while I don't mean to undermine your intellegence by any means, are you sure that you pressed "Post Reply" and not "Go Advanced"?
