Valium, help please!

Hi there I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on Valium/Diazepam. I was given it last night by the duty Dr as a sedative because I was hearing horrible voices and they were driving me crazy.
I have just taken 2mg about 10 minutes ago... what's going to happen? I don't want to be like a zombie again. Please help me,

Thanks,

Lyssie xx

2mg isn't a high dose and probably won't turn you into a zombie, just calm you down a bit. Even 5mg doesn't do much for me but then again it works differently for everyone. Sorry I don't have much advice, good luck xo

When I took 5mg for the first few times, it made me feel tired so I went to sleep. Then it stopped working cos I was taking it everyday.

It's only for the short term/emergency he's given me 14 tablets for about 2 or 3 days.
It hasn't made me feel like a zombie so that's alright.
I just feel a bit calmer which is good. I think I am due another one soon.
Thanks for all of your healp... love,

Lyssie xx

Fourteen over two or three days? That sounds like a lot to me!

2mg wont make you feel like a zombie, dont worry, diazepam calmed me down really well, just made me feel slightly more relaxed, but gave me the worst headache, then stopped working after a while, so they put me on lorazepam. Hope it helps you

Hey im glad this is helping a bit and i hope it continues to help you to get through the next couple of days at least.i used to be on it.It helped a tiny bit occasionally but usually made no difference to me at all and especially at that dose and that always bemused me a bit cos of all the positive ive heard about it!But its different for everyone.i know some its really helped and im really glad its doing ok for you so far and i hope things arent quite so bad.Look after yourself and take care.

i do not always manage to be around but i wish you all the very best - love and luck to you all!

It depends on the person. 2mg can make some people zombies, whereas it won't touch other people at all.

I think I was on 5mg, and it wiped me.

I was on 10mg tablets, also for short term/emergency. And it really helped me :) no bad effects at all/zombie!
Take care xx
