You could buy something that means something in terms of where / how you met.
What did you get for his birthday? (if he liked it, get something similar?, lol)
hmm yeah an x-box or wii is a bit pricey. Is he into gadgets at all?
Have a look at this site::http://www.firebox.com/ or you could try 'the gadget shop' if you have one near you.
Whatabout a football shirt of his favourite team.
You could get a photoframe that holds 5 or so photos and put photos of you in it.

I'm sure i've posted this idea somewhere before, but i got this for my boyfriend one christmas and he loved it.
I bought a plain good quality silver ring off the market, and had it engraved with a quote that means alot too us (come what may). I suppose you could engrave it with anything. your name, the date you got together etc.
I then put it on a black neclace string, made my own box, and put in a letter i wrote telling how i really felt about him.
Very personal and all works out too under £20.

^ That's not a bad idea. And if he doesn't wear rings you could by a chain or one of those leather string things, I think they're called thongs but don't quote me on that, and he could wear it around his neck.
Which is even more romantic because of the whole 'close to my heart' idea
