Howdy there, and welcome to the RYL scavenger hunt.
Why, what's a scavenger hunt, you ask. Well, basically, I'm going to give you a list of 20 things you have to take photos of.
Easy enough, you say! But here's the catch...
You're only allowed to submit exactly 8 photos. This means you must double, and in some cases, triple things up in order to win.
The person with the funniest/most inspiring/generally most awesome set of photos will win a prize of some sort [yes, it will be worth your time].
All entries must be submitted by the 1st November, to me, via PM. The staff and/or Community Team will then judge them [if I can persuade them nicely to do so] and the winner will be announced by the 10th November.
So, here's your list:
1) Something RYL related
2) Something red
3) Something blue
4) A plant of some sort
5) A piece of furniture
6) People
7) Animals
8) One of the letters, "R", "Y" and "L" [this cannot be submitted along with number 1].
9) A piece of clothing
10) A map/globe
11) A building
12) Water
13) Music
14) Time
15) Comfort
16) Heat
17) Love
18) Life
19) Atmosphere
20) Friends
All of the topics are as open to interpretation as you want them to be, but if the links are REALLY REALLY tenuous then you're doing yourself a big disservice.
I will make a thread, which I will link to from here, after they've all been judged so you can see the entries :)
When submitting your photos via PM, please send them in this format:
number of options it refers to
e.g.
[Screenshot of RYL]
1; 3
[Photo of you and your friends]
17; 20
etc etc.
When PMing me your photos, please make sure you put "RYL Scavenger Hunt entry" as the title of the PM. If you don't, it's not my fault if they end up not getting judged.
Oh, by the way, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me :)

Ideally no, the idea is you go and set it up yourself or whatever [so you stick some fridge magnets on a radiator spelling out RYL and get heat/RYL done at the same time - nobody can use that one now hehe!], but honestly I'm/We're not going to be able to tell if it's an old photo or a new one...
Tetris is something that will be up and running again in a few days. It got put on the back-burner because the race came up, which took a hell of a lot of organisation on both myself and Steph's part, then real life and shittyness got in the way, and then Steph and I both moved and she's been doing uni things and I've been trying to find a job, and stuff like funerals and illness etc got in the way at some point there too.
However, I am going to be looking through all my old PMs tomorrow to work out where we got to with who's playing who etc, and so round three [I think that's where we're at] should hopefully be up my Monday.
So I haven't forgotten about it, more like I've had to put it on the back burner because of real life more important stuff coming up.
I wasn't moaning about it, though it probably sounded like I was! If you ever need a hand, say, I'm sure I can find a hacksaw :P (the hacksaw bit is a joke btw)
Never forget what you are for the rest of the world will not.
Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you
"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."
