hypo, what to do?

What do you do when you guys are hypomanic? I am right now and it's one of the few good, productive ones that I have. I'm actually drinking a Mountain Dew to keep it up. Ok, putting it away now. Starting to think fast. I mean I'm not that hypo right now, but I am. Grr... jittery. I'm avoiding homework because I don't like sitting around anymore, and that's the last thing I want to do when I'm like this. I'm almost to the point of not being able to work on it, which causes problems.

But yeah, I'm worried that I'll wake up tomorrow and it'll be bad. It might turn into a different not-so-fun hypo.

I've been really happy all week, maybe because of a slight hypo or it may be that I met a guy that I like. Not sure. I am stressed which is probably a lot of it. That's when I usually get mood swings.

Ahhh!!!! *runs in circles*

What do I do? I might try some calming tea tonight, although that may only help temporarily. Fortunately, if it gets bad tomorrow I only have to suffer through two classes because my third one was canceled, which rocks. I am eating lunch with a friend tomorrow, but she understands and she'll let me talk excessively if I need to.

It opens all the scars on me
It leaves me shaken in my belief
It takes my hand just to drag me down
It makes me a stranger in the crowd

The only way I know
To shake myself of this curse
Is to bring myself to something
That is measurably worse

When I am in what I consider to (possibly be, not actually diagnosed) hypomanic, I tend to channel it into doing housework... yes, my neighbours hate me for hoovering at 4 am.. but hoovering, dusting, ironing, washing dishes. It gets you up and in constant action that doesnt require too much focus. Only other thing I can suggest is going for a job... but I admit that is not always practical or safe (apparently *shrug*)

Ahh, I do the housework thing too! And I paint, I get a huge canvas and paint whatevers in my mind, I find that quite soothing actually, it doesn't take too much concentration as long as you don't expect a masterpiece at the end of it!

Heartbreak, incarnate, I'm nothing if not your memories.

I go with it really, can have some really good conversations when hypomanic and very sociable / confident. Also have a lot of ideas and projects but the more manic I get, the harder it is to see the ideas through and if I was in a normal state the ideas might seem a bit far out heh heh. There's lots of other symptoms as I'm sure you know.
Don't know about you but when I'm hypomanic / manic I'm reluctant to take meds to control it until I become psychotic and can't handle it. But perhaps it doesn't get that far with you.
Take care..
