S.A.D ? Not sure why i feel pooey

I've never posted here, so not sure if i'm posting in the right place!

I usually start to feel my mood drop/become more erratic around October time and feel it stabilise around March. I'm not sure if this is coincidental to life events happening each year, or if it's similar to Seasonal Affective Dosorder.

Basically i'm not sure how i'm feeling, all i know it's strikingly familiar. It's not PMT, things are going fine in my life (finally!!) :)

I went for a run/walk this morning, and came back feeling ***** and abnormally sleepy, when i usually feel good!
I've just been attempting to complete some essays for college, my concentration's shot, I keep crying, i'm not even sure if i'm sad.

It might just be one of those things, or just because i'm tired. It's not even that bad, compared to what i've had *shudder*
I dunno, i'm just a bit confused.

Any thoughts appreciated, ta.

And you might say its self-inflicted
But you see that's contradictive
Why on earth would anyone practice self destruction?

It's entirely possible it could be SAD. If it is, you can get lightboxes for during the winter which imitate sunlight and can help.

Why don't you see your GP about it?

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.

I may do, but i feel so embarassed :s i used to be there a lot when i was bad, also, i couldn't afford/nhs wouldn't fund a light box, i'd imagine. I don't mean to shoot down your advice! If it gets worse i'll definately go to the Dr, i can't afford to be De-railed again!

Thanks x

Definately talk to your Dr on it. There are a variety of things used to help people who struggle with SAD, one of which is a light box. Vitamin D suppliments and mild antidepressants aren't uncommon either. Only a Dr can guide you to the best method.
