stress
Is it normal when you're stressed to be losing weight, even though you're eating normally?

I seem to lose weight when I'm stressed no matter what I eat. I think its because I fidget a lot which burns a lot of energy. Also, I don't know if this'll be the same for you, but stress really messes with my digestion, causing sickness and upset stomachs in extreme cases, so I think perhaps your body doesn't absorb food as effectively when stressed, thoug I don't know this for certain.
Take care

Thanks, that's really useful. :)
It's mainly from changes at work, so I can't really do an awful lot about that.
And the scales don't show hardly any difference, but I have lost weight. Sounds weird, I know...

Make sure you take some time to relax at the end of the day *hugs*

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.
Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.

I'm doing my best to keep looking after myself and get enough rest. Today was my day in the office [which isn't changing, we already moved, back in late Spring!] so I had some quiet respite. Same again tomorrow morning. Thursday afternoon we finish packing up the library completely.
I'm taking a bunch of leave here and there in the next few months, too.
I wouldn't think it's muscle related! Thing was, I was very emotionally fragile all through August, and lost weight then, and because of all the stress now my body's not got an awful lot of chance to fully recover.
I'm eating plenty. I seem to have an insatiable hunger a lot of the time. Some of which is emotional emptiness, but some also is indeed burned off in 'fight-flight' responses.

I feel so displaced, lost and empty - yet my stomach is churning and acidic.
