Good News on the Whole

I recieved the ring through the post today from the ex! I really didn't think she would bother, and just ignore me, her engagement ring back frm me, the tenner I sent ++ the card my friend sent her 'persuading' her as well.
But no, I got it today just was a bit gutted that she didnt send one word of a note or letter with it.
Maybe I shouldn't expect anything with it but it was a bit cold I think.
So..once it is paid for by the end of Novemeber I can sell it.

Also last night there was a huge argument with my mum and stepdad so I went out for a walk and when I returned mum was by herself crying in the kitchen so i started crying and gave her a hug. She said she was going to have to give my Gran a ring to see if we could stay there. I asked her if she was scared {cos i was!!} but she said no, that there was no reason to be scared.
To try and keep this concise, my stepdad ended up downstairs and asked to speak to both of us and we all spoke about stuff none of us had said out loud for well,..the fear that people have of saying how they really feel and why they behave how they do? [or was that just me].
Well it seems now, that my mum and stepdad will be able to work it out but it gave me the chance to say I was going to move out!
I really didn't think i'd feel able to bring it up for months and therefore stay here. So I was really relieved for that and will start to actively look for a place to move to / save for a deposit etc.
It's been quite a dramatic couple of days. I feel a bit pathetic for saying this but I feel like I need to somehow "take it in". It's all been so much plus even though the ring is a physical thing I think i need to see it as more than that and instead, the closure that it basically is of the engagement that just didn't work out.
I just hope that it isn't hard to let go of it once Nov 22nd comes around.

Ty for reading.

It is great that you are able to move forward with all this, get closure on your engagement, and that you and your mom are going someplace safer.
hugs

My husband is my best friend.

In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.

i'm glad you got the ring and were able to tell your family what you really want!

Even as the stone of the fruit must break
that its heart may stand in the sun,
so must you know pain.

There are only two ways in which one can live their life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is.

Go you! Just be super-nice to yourself for the next few days while you come to terms with the changes and can move on up! *hugs*
