Hellish!

I am having nightmares. Cant sleep. Trees falling all around us. Windows breaking. Flood waters Rising. I thought I was ok. 9 days without power. Thank God for generators.

Thank God for safety and unharmed family.

I survied. Many did not. Where my husband works --near the gulf-- near where his boss lives... the stinch of dead permeates. the foul odor of chemicals and dead fish... i shouldnt have gone that day. i should not have gone. the "x" marks on the cars...all found to be dead bodies.
I shouldnt have gone. I shouldnt have gone..

Nightmares. Nightmares. The wind blows and the trees fall. The window breaks, the neighbors house gone. the other neighbors car totaled from the tree. Nighmares. that sound of the wind in the trees...I used to love that sound...now i run and hide.

More than a week later. I am an adult. I am terrified.

And I am Rain.

Oh my darling *cuddles you gently and soothes away the pain* I wish i could make them stop. I wish I could bring those back. Sing a prayer for them lovely one. *cuddles*

Rainy ANYONE would be traumatized by what has happened there. You are certainly not the only one to be terrified by what has gone on, and what has been left behind. It's going to take time for everyone to heal from this, you should not feel bad that you are having nightmares and are scared, because I guarantee you thousands of other people are too.

Hang in there Rain, I am concerned for everyone that has suffered through this.
You will survive, you have survived...it willjust take time to recover.

3 days...no sleep. toss turn walk, toss, turn. I have been behaving myself in the SI sense..quite a feat if i may ay so . but i know there is really nothing i can do. The kids will finnaly start school in the morning. My baby girl is worried becasue there is a slight chance of rain. little things that affect us now.

thank you for your prayers. I dont need them nearly as much as others do, but I still thank you.

Linda,I know your family is here. I hope they are safe and with little damage.

taking some meds to night to force sleep.
