I've been a member since RYL stood for Ruin Your Life and one thing I have noticed is the chatroom seems to be geared in such a way that "regulars" in the room only interact with other regulars in the room. This could be quite discouraging to new people in need of support and friendship from like minded people so lets all try to do a little better!
It once was day...but now it's night...I slam the door...turn out the light. Like everyday...I've done beofre...it's ok to do once more. The close of death....the birth of life...I turn to you....my love my wife.
This has been raised before but i know what your saying, it has got a lot better over the past 6 months. If you enter chat and it's busy like it is now then it's hard to tell who is coming and going as chat is going so fast. One tip tho just stick your bit in just go with the flow and comment on stuff people will soon get to know you and you will feel more welcome. if you get what i mean
Personally when i go into chat i prefer to go in the quiet times. Though, people will accept you even if it doesn't feel that way, you're always welcome. (:
I agree with all that has been said above and I also want to add that there are plans in the works for some chat activities that will help everyone get to know each other and break out of their shells a little bit.

Everyone was new once.
Those that know each other best are the ones who are in there regularly, but those that jump in and make conversation do make an impression, too!
