General Medical Question - Urgent - joint pain after cut?

hi ya'll, i got a cut on my finger near the joint prolly like 2 months ago.. it wasnt SI, i was reaching for something in the kitchen drawer and my hand slipped and hit something sharp. it cut my finger, but not all the way through the skin. it didnt hit the joint and it didnt bleed very much for a finger wound. Anyway, it didnt need any special care, just a bandaid after the bleeding stopped. its fully healed, and is just a small line of a scar across the side of my knuckle. But the real reason why im making this post is that the knuckle still hurts when i bend my lil finger or when i press on it. I was wondering if the cut had anything to do with it. none of my other knuckles hurt like that, and i dont remember that finger hurting before the cut. I dont see how the cut would have hurt it because it didnt actually hit the joint.
Any ideas on why it might be hurting or what i could do to help it? Im thinking that maybe it just might be alil stiff from me not bending it for a while while it was healing, but i think it was fully without a bandage or scab for over a month now. its just kinda weird.

Hi-
I'm brand new to this site, and while I see that this post was years ago, I wonder what ever happened to your painful finger joint? This exact thing happened to me recently. --Bea

Depending on where the cut was at, it may have nicked a nerve, tendon, or ligimate. How long has it been since this happened? It also could be because it is still healing.

I had completely forgotten about this, I currently have no pain in that knuckle area, but I can see a faint white scar on that knuckle. I think it may have been that because when the skin is healing it is not as flexible as it used to be, when the finger bends the skin stretches causing pain. I am not sure. But right now (3+ years later) I have forgotten about it and it no longer hurts. I work in a lab and machine shop, so my hands are getting scratched and nicked all of the time.

Bea, I hope your finger or joint heals well, how recent is it?

Could it be that you are using your fingers alot in a lab/machine shop and due to repeative movements it causes pain? I know people who use the computer get pain in their fingers and joints around the hand due to typing continuously.
