A Bittersweet Birthday

Ok, so yesterday was my dads birthday(he passed away almost 2 years ago) He would've been 62 and my sister and I went to see Neil Diamond cause my dad loved him. I felt it was Fate that his concert was on my dads birthday. The concert was amazing and we both felt closer to our dad.

I spent the weekend with my sister and had a girls' weekend. She had her hubby watch the kids while we went out both Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night we went out to dinner and a movie and while we ate dinner, we both ordered a glass of wine and did a toast to my dad.

I just felt the need to share this.

Thanks a Heap,
Cait

*cuddles* i'm glad you had a good time and felt closer to your dad. And that you shared the day with your sister. There's no better way to remember a lost loved one then by doing something they loved in remembrance of them. *hugs*

I'm glad you were able to remember your dad in such a nice way.

My husband is my best friend.

In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.
