freeview boxes
right coza i found out last night my brother has one i now want a new one
i say new... lets say its still in working order but laura decided to loose the remote and there's no buttons on the set box to work it.
So any decent ones around that don't cost the earth

Actually even Supermarkets like ASDA etc probably have them cheap.

I wouldn't of thought they cost much now but I can't say I've looked. Freeview adapters are cool too {ones you just plug into the back of the TV but it'd be bad if you lost the remote with them! heh}.
I suggest you get one that has channel change / volume etc buttons on it incase you lose the remote again

My freeview box in uni cost me £20... which to me is not expensive at all. I bought mine in ASDA and you can get them at tnhat price in so many shops.

Ones with hard drives are more expensive but are amazing for the amount of extra use you can pump out of them

Just me?!
Am i the only one that hates on digital boxes?! No joke they do my head in! I got one for christmas last year with a bulit in hard drive. And i have had to take it back at least 4 times already and get a replacement. Have tryed many diffrent ones and they have all broke on me! In fact the one i have at the moment needs taking back it's never worked right! Likes to say the hard drive is full when clearly it's not cos i havn't recored anything! So yer i hate them lol. They have done my head in over the last year. If i could go back i would either pay more money and get a sony one or something that works! Or get a cheap one from the supermarket without the hard drive, cos they seem ok. Just the ones in the £100-£150 range with the built in hard drives that i seem to have a problem with. It can't be just me is it?!

I got mine a couple of years ago and it has been fine. TBH I can't imagine being without it but I would agree that £150+ is about the right money for one worth having.
