Medication Question - alcohol?painkillers?

I was just wondering if it is safe to take painkillers and alcohol together. I did it without thinking but don't feel bad. I would just like to know for future reference whether it is a stupid thing to do. thanky muchly.

It depends on what was taken but it can be a bad idea to take "painkillers" and drink. You shouldnt drink whilst taking any type of medication without first talking to your GP or to a pharamacist even if they are over the couter medications.

personally i would never advise mixing the too. if you took a normal dose of pain killers and only had a lil bit to drink then you should be fine, but i definatly would not advise mixing the two in the future
