Well, yes you'd be leaving a lot behind, but you'd be gaining a great opportunity to live and study in a different culture, and gain experience like you wouldn't in your home country. I'd say it's good that you are not looking forward to it actually, because it will make the experience much more of a pleasant surprise for you. Of course it is not the same as being there with them, but there are so many ways to keep in contact with those back at home, besides, flights to and from Spain are very affordable so you can expect visits. I'm sure the sun and the people there will help blow those blues away; it's the thing I miss most about Spain, they certainly know how to enjoy life!
