I went to my interview today to become a support worker for people with learning difficulties. i was really nervous i can tell you. but after filling in more forms than i can count and having a very long talk with my prospective employer, almost an hour they suddenly said "I think we'll give you a go.
As soon as your CRB comes through we'll get you to work."
I practically floated out of the building.
I HAVE A JOB!!!! FINALLY I'M WORKING AGAIN!!! I was going stir crazy, stuck in my home since september. now i have a job and, soon, a wage will be coming in.

When I was in middle school I worked with mentally retarded (not sure of the proper terms, and not trying to compare the two) kids. It was so awesome when I taught one how to write her name. The first time she wrote a W I was like "yay!" because I'd been working with her for a week on it.
