the olympics? i dont think ive ever been as disinterested as i am this year [is disinterested a word or is it uninterested?].
especially as it is in china. i dont like the way china works politically wise.
anyone else know about all the foreigners who have lived in china for years upon years and the ones just studying have to leave so that all the 'olympians' can i dunno 'fit' there cos of the high population.
every foreiger has to go.
it seems racist to me. in the name of sport.
i could add linkage if anyones interested i that.
also the pollution in beijing is mega bad. worse than anyone who's lived in the uk all your life has ever experienced. wonder how it's gonna effect the athletes, i.e the ones who have respiratory problems they may not be otherwise triggered like asthma.
i mean this is china, they still use capital punishment. not the most humane of places in the world eh...
I think the olympics is completely boring. Every time. And I hate it whenever it's on because people don't stop banging on about it, at school, at work.
The olympics were in Sydney when I was eight. I found it so incredibly boring, even then, while I was young enough to like all sorts of things. I had to go to the athletics and I just whinged and whinged about how it was hot and boring and all that.
the opening ceremony is pretty immense. But yeah i never watch the olympics are from gymnatics and diving.
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
Gymnastics & Diving <3
I love watching the Olympics [well, teh events we're in] - I get all patriotic for Englanderin.
"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."
i want england to do well, but am not actually that interested in watching it.
what's the opening ceremony all about? it just seems to be people walking round with flags for hours and hours?
& the language of love letters is the same as suicide notes
That opening ceremony was far too long.
+
utter bullsh*t about the oath to drug/steroid-free performances
at least 50% of the athletes will be on the juice.
+
40% of them will be tested, not enough, every single one should be.
equestrian's really all i'll be watching, just cause i'm jealous of them :P
“The good things don’t always soften the bad, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.”
“Nobody important? Blimey, that’s amazing. Do you know, in nine hundred years of time and space I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important before.”
“If it’s time to go, remember what you’re leaving. Remember the best. My friends have always been the best of me.”
I loveeee the Olympics but that's mainly due to the fact I did Athletics for about 6 years and it was my dream to be at the Olympics.
I watch pretty much all the sports especially cycling, athletics, swimming&diving, gymnastics, beach volleyball and the triathlon.
I don't agree with China and their policies but not watching the Olympics won't achieve a thing since they're already underway and I would hate myself for the next four years if I didn't watch it.
I really only watch the Opening Ceremony (which I thought was good, by the way) and that's about it. & Now I'm bored of it. Though I catch it at a glance, but there's nothing I'm sitting here waiting for. But man, that opening ceremony was great.
