Pectus Surgery

I am getting refered to a surgeon by my GP. Pectus Excavatum surgery is on the ribs and all so I bet it would be panful and everyone keeps telling me this but I really want it. I think I could stick it out having had majour surgery on my spine last year and being on morphine and for this surgery you apparently have an epidural. Has anyone heard about this surgery. I am looking forward to being normal. Advice would be good. Thanks guys.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
and wake up
where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
away above the chimney tops
that's where you'll find me

Thank you vague, yeah that's exactly what I have, a dip in my chest.
