But if I did it'd be to see when friends are online - it looks useful for that, i've just never got around to it.

You may limit the receipt of private messages to just moderators and those on your buddy list. Other members who attempt to send messages to you will be told that you have disabled private messaging.
Receive Private Messages only from Buddies and Moderators
I have two people on my buddy list, who are the people that I am very close to on here. They're on there because my journal is private but for the people on my buddy list.
Also it helps me see when they are online so I can go harrass them lol xxx

I have people in mine but it's not really useful... as i PM alot of people at various times so only allowing certain people would be impractical. I also find it a nuisance to go through Quick Links, etc... it would be more practical if it was an optional thing to possibly have in the top or bottom of the page so you could glance at it while going around the forums (Y)

you can add yourself ive seen the bit on my profile to add me to my buddy list but i didnt think it would work, and kim i think your on your own adding yourself
