*Hugs* Sorry, I've not had one, just want to wish you luck! And also to say I have one on July 13th and pretty much had that reaction when I found out!
when i had mine, it was an hour of answering different questions, things such as:-
-are my parents together
-have i ever been abused
-about my eating
-about my sleeping
-about my relationships with other people
-about harming myself/feeling suicidal etc
-about my job
-about how i feel in general.
all those type of things, and then they were expanded on.
Athough, im guessing yours is mostly for your ED, in which case he will ask more of those type of questions.
the guy who did mine was really nice and didnt make me feel like an idiot so hopefully yours will the same.

July 13th? Hope your not supersticious... friday the 13th.
Sorry totally off topic I know, sorry.
It does go through all your past and what you want to achieve from therapy and often your level of vunerbility will let them know if your ok with going through the therapy treatment.
Should be about an hour half ish.
Your referal should have some info on you.
Shouldn't be too bad. Do your best not to lie. Even though some questions can be hard. It is for the better future :)
I want to kiss the bottom of the ocean before I burst through its surface into the sunlight, otherwise I will always be wondering about what was left unseen at the bottom
i'm tired of chasing my dreams. i'm just gonna ask where they're going, and hook up with them later.
Wow! This is exactly the link I was looking for! I have a screening thing with my CMHT on Monday and I'm really scared about it. That link is really useful. Thank you so much!

"But sail we must and not drift, nor lie at anchor"
I've had quite a few, they're nothing to worry about. The questions tend to be straight forward, alot of mine were yes-or-no and sometimes a little "explain this to me". Try to be honest, trust me, if they catch you in a lie it won't be pretty. (Ex. I lied about my SI being anywhere besides where they could see-they proceeded to check "just to make sure"-not fun). But really, it's nothing to worry about.
an assessment with a psychologist will be a wee bit different to one with a psychiatrist.
They will take a detailed history :
family background
where you grew up
mine actually asked me what kind of birth I had.... weird! I have no specific memory of my birth
your relationship with your parents
other stuff about growing up
what you do just now
and obviously details of what problems you're having just now and how long they've been going on for.
Don't panic, it'll be totally fine! Some of the questions can be a bit random but all they are trying to do is build up a picture of who you are, not make a judgement on you or anything like that
They should also give you an opportunity to ask questions etc
just for helping purposes on anyone reading on on this, my freind found me about to si in my shower and picked me up and convinced me to bring me to the nearest hospital. i didnt know what to do but when i got to the reception they said go to the a+e to get an assesment (which ment blood samples and urine checks etc) me and oeghan waited for around 2 hours and fell asleep together and the psychiatrist walked me to his office on the otherside of the hospital.
me and oeghan stayed and talked to him for about 1+half hours. i did most of the talking on who i am etc. how i feel.
but yeah sugarandspice is def right, they asked questions about your past, your family, how your sleeping and how your eating and stuff. and then they give you a chance to explain anything weird that you think of things.
they just then assess whether its important that you wont harm yourself or anybody else around you in order to be taken into care.
