Hey guys, I thought I'd let you know my happy news. I had my baby last Saturday and everything is good!
The labour was sudden, At about 10 in the morning I was complaining because I felt really constipated, by 12, I was in severe pain but after speaking to my mum and the hospital decided that I wasn't having proper contractions and helped Ernie build a new coffee table.. At 1 it was time for Ernie to leave for work and I was crying with pain so I decided to stay home. 1.30, while still trying to poo my waters break and the neighbour is brought in to call a cab, she takes one look at me and calls the hospital who says that I have to get an ambulance. Another half an hour of rolling around and shouting that I'm having the baby NOW and the ambulance arrives and tells me the head was showing and I wasn't allowed to push, crazy rush to the hospital with a few puffs of gas and air between translating everything I was told for Ernie and we get to the hospital. By this time I'm screaming that I need an epi and the midwife is laughing telling me to push, my little baby girl was born and 2.15 in the afternoon weighing 3kg (7lb3) She was 38 weeks 5 days.
We called her Adela Doris, Doris because it was also my grandma's birthday and all the family were in her local celebrating that, until Ernie calls the pu to say and ambulance has come for me and my mum got a train to London. I stayed in hosp overnight, only becasue I insisted that my mum had to wash the dishes before I got home.
The 1st week has gone really well, Adela is gaining weight already and so far the nights havent been too bad.
sorry that was an essay, thought my experiance might reasure some of the other expecting mothers!
OMG!shes sooooo beautiful, congrats for you and Ernie!Im glad the labour wasnt too awful. Oh Im so happy for you both!xxx
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.
