mental health and children

i suffer with severe depression and anxiety and some psychosis and am currently pregnant so not taking any medication.

my best friend has custody of his 5 year old daughter but the mum is causing problems, hes asked me to stay away for a while until certain reports and things have been done because apparently i could affect the outcome of what happens next with his daughter!!

has anyone else dealt with anything similar? i'm not really sure what to do now as i dont want to make things difficult for my friend and his daughter, but surely they cant hold my mental health against him seeing as we're just friends and i have never done anything against any child.

he already has custody of her and has done for 2 years, the mum is wanting more contact with her daugheter as she sees her for 5 hours a fortnight, but hardly ever turns up to pick her up, they have seen each other 6 times this year. this report is to see if chloe (the daughter) is doing ok,

i dont really have any other friend, Chris (best mate) rings me everyday, makes sures im doing ok, we go shopping and i help out with chloe wen he just needs a little break.

i just feel so devestated i dont understand how he could do this. i havent done anything silly for a long time and except for being emotional have been really well for a while now

i no its for his daughter and deep down i understand and am glad he ahs put her first.

but at the same time i cant help but feel.. betrayed? (for want of a better word)

there must some groups out there somewhere, i guess its time i started looking :)

i just had all this stuff planned for the summer holidays u know? they move into a new house next week and its chloes 5th birthday n i am the one thats supposed to look after her when chris is at work 2 days a week and take her to school so its kinda affected all our plans, i was even going to move in, in a few month because travelling the20 odd miles would become difficult the more pregnant i become..

Thank you again, I've stopped crying at least, I'm sure it will get better, it cant really get any worse!

im not sure if i'll be able to because she will quite possibnly be back at school and then the seasons change, and shes only going to be 5 once..

i just have so many feeling i mean i love chloe to pieces and obviously her dad is special to me being my best friend and i actually went to school with the mum and i despise her for various reasons.

there all back at court in september/october time, and the people involved in making the reports are supposed to view chloe at school but school has finished now so i think this could take a while unfortunatly.. i assume we're still going to talk on the phone because as long as chloe isnt getting close to me it shouldnt be a problem apparently

Just gotta try keep my head high and keep going :)

and stop bursting into tears when i realise am not going to see her on her birthday or be there for the party we planned
