I don't think it's connected to the board yet.

the first aid forum is under advice and first aid.. It will be linked to serious discussion later i think. please avoid spamming this board please

Now we all have a great need for acceptance, but you must trust that your beliefs are unique, your own, even though others may think them odd or unpopular, even though the herd may go.

pathetic

Harley is the FA forum going to also be attached to Serious discussion aswell. I think that it should be linked there aswell, as alot of FA posts/ threads end up in there, on the old site those are the two places that have FA posts etc allowed so it should be the same for here aswell..

Is the new forum only for SI-related First Aid?

Very interested you say that - no it isnt and that is exactly the bone of contention the mods and I are currently discussing regarding the placement of this sub forum

Thanks

Can't it be linked to SI disc & serious discussion? And also say in the little blurb it's for any type of first aid?

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

Well there is no blurb for sub forums.

I can either make it it's own forum, as with the other support forums

Or add it to both

It might be easier if it was its own forum, because otherwise you're still going to get the non-SI First Aid/Medical posts in GSA and places like that. And also, with the sub forums the most recent posts don't show up on the homepage, do they? So it would be harder to check whether there were any new issues for the F.A. Advisors to reply to.

I don't know, that's just my 2p.

As many forums as we are getting, I kinda like it is as sub forum, however, I am concerned that with it listed under the SI forum, people are going to assume that it is only for SI questions. While aot of the posts we deal with are SI related, we are often approached with other types of medical questions.

So, that being said, I think that it should be it's own forum, and placed in the member only forums section. That way, anyone who reads it has already accepted the disclaimer, and someone who is not a member can not read something in the first aid forum, and then take action against the site for whatever reason.

Making first aid member only is an idea I had not considered - although it wouldnt have to be in member only forums to do that...

hmm

Ok, it's just a thought beucase of the liability involved. If it is a member only forum then only people who have read and accepted the RYL disclaimer will be able to access the information there. It dosn't totally eliminate liability issues, but I think it's a good step towards reducing it.

Another thing that might reduce liability a bit is if we added a bit of a medical disclaimer to the bottom of the RYL terms and conditions page that you have to accept to register. Just some thoughts.
