Diazepam 10mg (twice a day) and Omeprazole (40mg)

I am under the care of both my gp and my psychiatrist and on the same day my psychiatrist prescribed a higher dose of diazepam and my gp prescribed omeprazole for side effects from my bulimia.

Trouble is when reading both the information leaflets it says in some people taking the 2 together can cause adverse effects. But that is as far as it goes with no elaboration!

I have tries to findout online but i am not sure of any trustworthy sites.

I wasnt sure where to put this so feel free to move it to the first aid forum.

any advice would be greatly appreciated

I don't think you should rely on a site for this hun, I don't think a trustworthy site exists in the sense that a site will not know what your doctors are thinking, do not know you and your case or anything. Best thing to do would be to ring them up as soon as possible and discuss this. Possibly ring the NHS Direct line or your out of hours doc if you have to take them (the medication) urgently.

You need to have a word with your gp.
When do you take the diaz? Omeprazole is usually taken in the morning, so it might be ok if you dont take diazepam until afternoon/evening.
Omeprazole COULD inhibit the metabolism of diazepam because they both use the same enzymes. So that means you may not get the full effects from the diaz and possibly the levels could build up to a dangerous level.
There is another med from the same group as omeprazole that appears to be ok, maybe your GP will change it to that.
