I recently had a first appointment with the early intervention team, they were really nice. The first time was so they could see if they were suitable to help me so asked me about the voices, how often they are, what they're like etc, about my self-harm and suicidal thinking, asked me a bit of background stuff like if I have any friends, what my family's like.
They already had a load of info off my psychiatrist but they clarified it for themselves and asked basically along the same vein as psychiatrists already had done.
In the end they decided to take me on and they're a really nice, helpful, supportive team, they're great. Gave me numbers to call in a crisis or any other problem.
Good luck.
