Is this normal?
I have "Inners". There used to be two, one of them is like a mother or older sister who comforts me when I'm sad, and the other one is like an older brother. He's also nice when i'm sad, but he often tells me , for example, that I have to start doing my homework, or that I shouldn't do something etc. They just randomly start "talking" to me, when I'm bored and sometimes I also ask them for help when I'm panicking. I know this sounds really weird...
Recently, there has been another person who is (still) nameless and he's realy mean and says hurtful things to me. He tells me I don't deserve to life, that I'm worthless... I yell at him to shut up (mentally) and it sometimes works, sometimes doesn't but after a while he stops. But I still feel like I have controll and they never take "over"
I just want to know, do others have this? Is that "normal" and what exactly is that.
Any answeres apreciated
Lyn

No... I have not spoken about any of my problems with any professional and hardly anyone knows about my problems, and no one knows about my "inners". I thought it was pretty normal until I read someone writing about something similar on ryl. I've never realy wanted to talk to a professional but so many people on ryl ske me about it and tell me that I should give it a try. I don't know what to do, feeling very confused right now.
And I don't want them to go away (except the mean one) because they really help me when no one else is there, when I'm scared and feeling alone they will be there.
Please respond and thank you so much for always answereing my questions/threads *hug*

Do you feel very lonely?
Has anyone ever been mean and hurtful towards you?

Yes, I used to be bullied, but it's over now.
And I just feel afraid about telling anyone how I feel, I'm so used to closing up and not telling anyone, hiding my tears... I feel weird about telling a stranger about my problems. And I think I'm afarid he/she will betray my trust. I don't know, I think it would be a good idea to get help, there are so many things I need help with... But I'm scared. And I'm scared of my parents reaction.
Thanks so much for responding, Lyn

I was also bullied, and have a self-destructive, bullying, hurtful Other. I was bullied years ago now, but it's still had an impact. Repeated hurts over and over again can get embedded deep in your mind and heart and take on a life of their own.

perhaps the voices are you?
indirectly you could be telling yourself what you want to hear and things that you think you should hear.
my father abused me (mentally and physically) i then projected a figure the would contantly scream at me and come dashing towards me trying to attack me.
then i would have another person telling me that i should harm myself and even worse because my "father" (the figure) will not hurt me then!
all of this was me indirectly creating what i thought i should hear and see.
sorry if that is hard to understand...im not good at explainging things.
