They've whored up Stawberry Shortcake.

Is nothing sacred?
I loved her when I was wee, I used to carry her book around with me everywhere (Yes I was a mini-geek)
And I've just found this monstrosity. Dunno when it happened though.

:(

OH GOD. Why would they do that? Why?!

It's almost as disturbing as when they changed Polly Pocket... no longer was she tiny and a good citizen (taking care of animals, getting married etc), she was about a foot tall, made of rubber and was 'fashionable'.

WHY MUST THEY PUT ALL INNOCENT GIRLS' TOYS IN MINISKIRTS?

NO! There's enough mini-barbie-look-a-likes out there already! Why is every kids toy being changed from working, normal (ish in miniture - you know what I mean) with uniqueness into slutty fashion dolls? Soon it'll be the real thing (little girls) in mini-skirts and that's just... Damnit I can't think of the word umm... BAD?

They wonder why there are so many young girls wearing bras and makeup at really young ages. *points* IT'S THE WHORING UP OF DOLLS! They even make those dolls that cry and stuff (for little kids who wanna play 'babies') with... 'parts' on so they can't be accused of being politically incorrect now or some other stupid reason.

See I cannot feel this, not matter how you try and in the real world, there's no goodbyes.

Stare at the hands, you know you want to ;).

This is outrageous. I used to love strawberry shortcake (and polly pocket come to think of it). *is fuming*

I ADORED my Polly Pockets when I was wee, I cried when I lost one :(
And then they get bigger, so they DON'T go in your pocket and are just fashion whores.
God, it really frakking annoys me.

I KNOW! They are about 6 inches big! Their whole houses used to fit in their pockets, now they themselves pole out I imagine.

It's just upsetting. No wonder so many young girls are growing up to be overtly body-conscious. Kids have enough pressure on themselves to be 'fashionable'... at least let their toys be a bit of an escape...?

This is the influence of Bratz, I suppose.
Maybe when Strawberry Shortcake was first invented she was a bit risqué, showing off her ankles.
Now she gives EDIT

That's skanky.
I went shopping today.. and saw god knows how many mini skirts AIMED at children as young as 6/7.

I haven't seen what they've done to polly pocket =/
But I used to love it XD
I had one where you filled it up with water and you could pump polly round... I found it amazing at the time (erm.. yeah..)

I hated what they did to Polly Pocket...and now they've ruined Strawberry Shortcake too =[
I used to have the COOLEST Polly Pocket!
It had a shop and a swing and a pond and a roundabout and it was magnetic so you could mover Polly without touching her!
I blame Bratz....urrrgh have you seen BratzBabies?! O_O
