I've always wondered are you allowed to phone the police on yerself, like if your gonna do something stupid?
Has anyone ever done this?

I suppose it would have to be a very good reason.
I'm not saying whatevers wrong isn't reason enough but police see things differently.
You don't want to waste police time if there's another way.
Phone a friend and have a chat about anything.

Yes you can, but like the others said, it must be something really important. About one year ago, one of my friends called the police on herself. She was suicidal at the moment and she called the police. The police talked to her until the police could get there and then they took her to a mental hospital because she was suicidal and she got the help that she needed and today she is doing so much better. There is a certain name that you call it but I forgot. I'm glad that your okay. Sincerely,Rose
