RSS feeds?
does RYL have its own RSS feed by any chance? takes forever to browse the forums on my mobile but RSS feed would let me keep a track of whats going on so much easier :)

We do have RSS in the works. It was taken out when the site was in beta due to issues, but will be re-introduced sometime soon, so watch this space! :)

Yeah it was left out from launch in two places because I didnt want to introduce too many new things on everyone all at once, and in one because there was a technical issue.
RSS, while mainstream now is still widely misunderstood so it is probably best we ease it in slowly :)
There are various methods of RSS going into RYL now and in the near future that both serve content from the site and to it.
More details will be released soon :)

Marko, also don't forget if you are using a mobile device that the ultra low bandwidth 'Archive' of the forums might be of use
You can get to it from a link at the very bottom right of the forums, or you can go here :
http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum/archive/
This will allow much quicker access off mobiles, pdas etc

ah thanks for that H. i have had a little play on the 'archive' one, it does indeed suit the mobile much better but it doesnt show the new threads etc, just the older stuff?
im not concerned about bandwidth use as my contract deal includes unlimited net access, its more the new forum system runs VERY slowely once its loaded, like it struggles to navigate up/down at all. RSS feeds would be ideal for reading posts as there so simple (in comparison to main site).
is there any way of having a live up to date text only access to the forums in the same format the archive allows?
thanks again for the replies :)

This is now all done, and everyone has been PM'ed with details :)
This is what you were wanting I presume?
I did feeds for all forums indivdually as well as together and it is super fast updating for an RSS feed so it should be just what mobile device users need :)
