Triggering (SI) - Shaving & SI

Couple of questions:

I cut myself on Friday. How long should I wait before I shave that area again? I got told a while back to wait until the scab has fallen off, but because of the way I cut myself, it's more like a rash.

I use hair removal cream on my arms. How lon would I need to wait to use that?

i think hair removel cream, could sting the cuts quite a bit, maybe you should wait untill the cuts have healed up quite a bit before you but hair removal cream on them.
Even if they are just like a rash, it could still hurt and maybe infect or irritate your cuts.

Speaking of shaving and s.i - I cant shave my legs without having an erge to s.i...N e 1 else the same?

I agree with Helen. Wait until they're healed because you're not supposed to put shaving cream or hair removal cream on broken skin.

I nearly brought this up last night actually. I'm usually okay with shaving my legs. I just do it quick over the scabs and get it over with. Doesn't hurt me at all.

I don't think u can add cream removal at a wounded area that may cause it to be infected i guess..

It won't cause it to become infected, but the chemicals shouldn't be put on broken skin. So you could prolly get away with shaving with a razor and hot water, but don't use any creams until there is new skin.

For anyone who has the urge to SI while shaving, try the Veet bladeless razor kit, it works well and there is no chance of a slip up.

just to add (from personal experience) hair removal cream stings like a bitch when you put it on cuts... I only made that mistake once.. hehe

shaving isn't too bad over cuts, just be a bit careful

up be careful with hair getting into the cuts. if you can, i would wait untill there was a layer of new skin under the scab. =]

Thanks. I might get this as I'm so clumsy when it comes to shaving and seem to cut myself (accidently) whilst shaving.

id agree with everyone that dont use the cream, its not gonna help it any!
as for shaving, either wait till its healed over a bit (it could take the scab off as well) or just shave around it.
