Question about bi-polar

I was just wondering, My mum has Bi-Polar, do I have more of a chance of developing it too?
& what are the symptoms of it?

I've read a lot of information and books on Bipolar and research seems to say you do stand a chance of having this condition if a parent has it.

I guess, my mind never stops racing, I can't sleep, because I can't stop thinking & going over things, & I hear voices sometimes. & They scream at me... maybe thats just me screaming at myself though
