Triggering (OD) - Sooo close

Last night I came so close to taking the tablets, so scarily close to taking them. I really really wanted to I ended up calling the Samaritans. I woke this morning with a very large injury. I had actually thought I had not done any sh until I saw the dressings this morning.

I have to get rid of the pills now, I know I do.

I'm very glad you didn't take the pills & actually called the Samaritans. :) I know I personally find the idea of calling a helpline in situations like that practically impossible, and it's hard, so well done.

Try and take care of the injury the best you can, and if need be then do go to A&E have it all checked out and look after properly.

Yeah, do get rid of the pills. The temptation is too strong otherwise, and I'm sure you don't want to be in such a situation again.

Hey *Hugs* Im so pleased you were able to ring the samaritans. Its not an easy thing to do so well done for being able to talk to them. Did it help ringing them? Do you think it worked as a distraction for you? Yes you really should get rid of the pills you dont need then and besides keeping them will only tempt you to want to take them anymore. How are you feeling now? Do you have any support at all? Is there anyone close to you that you could talk to?

Do you want to talk to us about what it is that caused you to feel the way you did? You dont have to but soemtimes talking to people and getting things out of the system really helps. Its not good to keep everything bottled up inside you as it will only make things worse. You dont have to talk to us if you dont want to but we are here for you if you do. Keep safe.

You took a gaint step in calling Samaritans, I couldn't have done that, so I applaud your bravey and responsibility-in knowing you were in danger and accepting you needed help.

Thanks for your support. I was a bit desperate, I just wanted to bang my head against the wall to get the need to overdose out of my head but did not want the family to hear but my head was screaming inside. I hung up on the Samaritans twice before I got someone helpful. I still find it hard to separate myself from the drugs, I cannot bring myself to just put them in the bin. I might take them with me when I see my psychologist and let her dispose of them.

I do have some support, GP who is unfortunately part time, my husband (who I could not tell) and my psychologist weekly.

gosh, i am SO proud of you.
I admire you so much.
getting close, and then making a responsible alternative choice is harder than anyone can imagine i know! It is so much easier sometimes to just go with the wrong choice.

do get rid of the pills....maybe you can get rid of your anger with them, throw them over a bridge or chuck them in a huge dumpster or something :) just an idea lol.
