So we decided to get Lei'd. The Lei signifying friendship and welcoming and being made of
Plumeria it makes it both symbolic and also a way of unifying Vets and letting you feel that you belong somewhere too. Of course there is the Plumeria sisterhood too but the Lei will be the new symbol of Vets. The idea is to put a picture of a Lei in your signature (if you can) and also put the phrase" i was lei'd in Vets" or "i get Lei'd in vets" or any derivative of those but this is purely optional if you do not feel comfortable with it.
There are some naughty children out there who have decided to get lei'd already! Well i guess there are early developers and experimenters in every walk of life :P (i had nothing to do with it either i promise)
So in order to celebrate getting Lei'd and to launch the new symbol i think we need a party!!!! There will be music and laughter and celebrity performances. Balloons, dressing up and a whole host of silliness. You can bring your own tunes if you like. Plenty of party food, cake and chocolate and of course lots of drink. There will be alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages too.
Because im a penguin and im magic all the alcohol consumed is completely hangover proof and once slept off gives no desire to consume more after. :P
Due to the time differences i have decided that this party shall last a week! This will allow as many people as possible to join in and i will ask very nicely if it can be stickied for that period so all can see it. I hope that as many Vets as possible can get Lei'd at the party and i hope it will be a great way for everyone to get together and perhaps get to know some of the folks you dont yet know. Also ALL vet lurkers are welcome!!!
Hopefully i will get to lei alot of you but of course i cannot do this alone and therefore i need some helpers to perform the lei'ing ceremony.
I will be King of the Lei and you will all be my Princess Lei'ers (teehee starwars). I couldnt think of a good starwars name for myself aside from Hand Solo cus its been said im a bit of a w****r :P
If you want to be a helper then let me know :P
So watch this space and hopefully soon there will be a party thread appear and we can all get silly and meet and chat and listen to cheezy tunes that we can link from utube and we can dance and someone can cry on the stairs cus thats obligatory at parties. BUT NO FIGHTING or HAIRPULLING!!!
