Reason: Pictures of clowns are not appropriate to the thread.

When I was a kid my parents took me to one of the nights that the circus was on and the clown came by me. I screamed and hid in my Dad's nuk, nook whatever. ;)

I am terrified of them..
I used to have a porcelin clown and when I was little it fell on me in the night
and I wasn't allowed to get rid of it because it was a present but one day a few years ago I 'accidently' knocked it and its head smashed and so I was allowed to chuck it out.
consequately they bought me another

knowing I was scared of them
they are horrible.

You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.

No ones bought me anything related to a clown as they know I don't like them.
As a kid I didn't mind the McDonald's clown like when I had McDonald's toys as it was only teeny, like little cars with him in.
I hate him now...

I am not scared of clowns I just merely detest them.
I hate halloween for that reason cos I dont like when people dress as other people and have a whole different persona. Its not to say I dont like people because of it, its just one of these things that annoys me and clowns are worst of them all :(

I'm not scared if clowns but my friend told me why some poeple are so scared of them.
It's from childhood (obviously) when you see a clown being all.. clowny, you haven't had them explained to you so you don't get the concept and instead of your brain saying "that's funny" it registers as "That's scary" and apparently that stays with you the rest of your life.

We had a clown in work the other day and the number of kids crying totally out numbered the number of kids that were amused.
I turned around to come out of a room and he was just standing there and I screamed. I'm not even bothered by them really, but jesus. Creeping up on people? Not nice.

I'm not afraid of them, but my friend is. One time, we went out to eat at Red Robin, and for some reason, they were having a clown convention lunch in there, and there was like 30 clowns in full make-up sitting around eating. Watching her turn around and run back out the door in terror was SO funny
