As it's almost the end of the school year this may be something for one or two of you to look forward to ...
The following are purported to be actual comments made by NYC teachers on their report cards as part of their final narratives. All teachers were apparently reprimanded, but why shouldn't they be allowed to tell it straight!
1. Since my last report, your child has hit rock bottom and has started to dig.
2. I would not allow this student to breed.
3. Your child has delusions of adequacy.
4. Your child is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot.
5. Your son sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them.
6. The student has a "full six-pack", but lacks the plastic thing to hold it all together.
7. This child has been working with glue too much.
8. When your daughter's I.Q. reaches 50, she should sell.
9. The gates are down, the lights are flashing, but the train isn't coming.
10. If this student were any more stupid, he'd have to be watered twice a week.
11. It's impossible to believe the sperm that created this child beat out 1,000,000 others.
12. The wheel is turning but the hamster is dead.
Tony.
PS. When I was in the Army I knew of remarks made in young officer's annual confidential reports which included "I would hesitate to breed from this officer" and "this officer's men will follow him anywhere - mainly out of curiosity!"
We’ve got obsessions
I want to erase every nasty thought that bugs me every day of every week
We’ve got obsessions
You never tell me what it is that makes you strong and what it is that makes you weak.
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
haha im sure i'll feel like that when i start teaching =p
“The good things don’t always soften the bad, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.”
“Nobody important? Blimey, that’s amazing. Do you know, in nine hundred years of time and space I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important before.”
“If it’s time to go, remember what you’re leaving. Remember the best. My friends have always been the best of me.”
