Restarting life.
I have read a few thread on careers and studying etc. but for me I have had that. I'm 30 this year and haven't been able to work for 5 years due to anorexia and depression si. I am told that work is a long way off if at all.
Where and how do you restart life when you have had a life career already.
I used to work in the hosp as a nursing assistant and also in physiotherapy.
Now I can't. My mental health stops that and my physical health, because of ED is another stopping factor.
Anyone restarted or been in same situ? Anyone else wondering what to do now?

I want to kiss the bottom of the ocean before I burst through its surface into the sunlight, otherwise I will always be wondering about what was left unseen at the bottom
i'm tired of chasing my dreams.
i'm just gonna ask where they're going,
and hook up with them later.

im not so much restarting life more branching out. i think it is difficult to step into the unknown but it is something that wil have to be faced eventually in order to move forward.
first look at the options you have and ways you might be abel to retrain etc. then take things from there

I think the fact that you've already had a working life should be viewed in a positive way, even if you don't end up working in that sector again. You will obviously have gained skills and experience which will stand you in good stead for when you decide on what to do next. Have you thought about maybe doing some temping or volunteer work, to dip your toe in the water so to speak? Or seeing a careers advisor? 30 is not too late to start again in the slightest. Wish you all the best :)

I do some voluntary with MIND, but have been on a long break as I got ill again.
I would not go back into the care sector, I think it was one of the things that caused me to burn out.
But I have no idea what else to do. Office, shop work is a no go. I really do not know. Makes my depression keep pulling me down.

What do you enjoy?
I used to be a teacher. I got very burned out and unwell, and it took me far too long to get out of it to a less stressful and more appropriate job for me, but I did. So, really, anything is possible, within your abilities and knowledge.

I enjoy photography and reading (when my brain is able to concentrate)
I don't wanna do a photography course though.
