so sorry for another thread...bit of a change to the first thread, better explanation.

it's ridiculous i know..but i looked and i cant stuff this into any other of my threads...
so sorry in advance

something VERY humiliating and embarassing has happened..and im sooooo ashamed..

My hubby had to change our password (& user name? idk ) on ebay because of me impulse buying.
I never really spent much. The most i ever spent on one item was $40 dollars and that was for a set of EIGHT shorts in different colours, name brand, tag attached, long shorts as i only have one pair.

So reallty i wouldnt call that 'excessive. What do you htink? The problem was more of wpending lots on little items...think 'Oh its only a few dollars, big deal" But we all know it adds uop......

But how humiliating to have to 'ask' if i can buy something...

I feel like a child asking for a cookie...

how low can i get???

romp

[due to a particular PM i recieved i realize i didn't explain quite right: I ASKED HIM to change it. BEFORE it could become a promblem. Sorry, i should have explained better!)

Don't blame yourself sweetie. Everybody has their little vices and I can so understand the lure of ebay. I understand maybe feeling embarased about having to ask to buy stuff but he is your husband, he loves you and I doubt he is judging you for it or anything like that. *hugs* Sorry I have no real advice x

hey shopping is as addictive as any other behavior
there is no shame in that
and if anything i think you are being pretty mature about it, not low at all, because you are admitting that it might be excessive/might be a problem and you are being compliant with the whole letting your hubby make sure it's under control thing. that's pretty responsible of you!

ive never really had the shopping problem.
but at one point last year, i became really irresponsible with my meds and was living with my mother at the time.....so i asked her to hold on to them for me and she handed them out to me as i needed them.
i understand that it does feel humiliating...but it was the best for me.
and now i have control over my meds again. i think it was quite responsible for you to ASK him to do this. it shows that you recognized that you might have a problem and you took the steps to remedy it until you can control it on your own.
loves.
