a bit of interesting news...

Dr's are in such shortage that parts of BC, [not my part tho, figures] (in Cananda) are offerering 'new' dr's $100.00 /month / for one year. In order to hopefully bring in new docs for such the shortages.

I wonder...? It's just a bandaid solution to an all-encompassing problem...... Of course the suggestion/possibility of new and MORE docs, plus that *cough* bribe*cough* incentive......?

What are YOUR opinions on it??

Hm, maybe a typo? I just looked this up from a BC newspaper, admittedly out of date (October 2007):

$100 000 allowance --> 60 000 for debt, 20 000 for setting up a practice and 20 000 as an income supplement.
There's also a $10 000 signing bonus for doctors moving to rural areas.

We're pretty short on family doctors around here...
