a med question?

OK OK>>>I KNOW THIS is the WRONG forum..but i trust you guys+ i I wanted and 'adult' view or experiences with 'doxepin' ??? As a yonger person(onder 17-18) isnt too likely to be given this med..but then nothing surprises me anymore!!!
Im on it for pain, the hydromorphone quit working.
So we went to this...

MY GOD!!!!!! can you say medicated???!!! i couldnt talk, walk, nothing...i dont like it! It also made me feel ill..so if you are thinking about trying to get some, which you cant, it's a legal(illegal drug) that has to be signed for in triplicate by doc, pharmacist and yousefl....DON'T BOTHER.!!!
It was not a 'great high' or anyting, just made me really sleepy and kind of dizzy and kind of tired.
thanks for any replies!

I started to take antidepressants when I got sober. At the time I was only sleeping 3 hours/night. So the way the doxepin made me sleepy was a good thing. I took it for a couple of months until my sleep patterns were better, then was put on other ad's.

In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.

I was on this for a good while, it's an older anti-depressant, one of the tri-cyclics. I remember finding it pretty sedative initially, but pushed the dose up slow so it didn't knock me out too much.

Umm can't remember too much else about it... all the meds just merge into one memory (unless they did something really bad to me, then I make a point of remembering in case the docs try to give it to me again!)

I.m taking it as the Trazadone quit working, for sleep ,and we had it quite high. So we went to this one....it works well...but the pain med he put me on works even better for knocking me out than the sleep med *shakes head*.
Oh well, least they all seem to be working. *fingers crossed*

Thanks!
luv
