going to the doctor..

okay, so my mother has noticed my arms and legs and all the stuff i've written down in my diary, and says i have to go see the doctor.
i'm really quite scared. and i don't know why.
my mother didn't even seem too concerned. she thinks going to the doctor will solve everything, and i'll come out a completely different person or something.
but i'm scared. i know it's not going to be like that.

Who's to say things can't work out that way?

My mom did the same thing to me, hun. Don't worry. Talking to someone may help. Who knows? You will have a way to get everything off your chest. Everything that you lock away that causes you to hurt your self won't be bottled up any more.

Just give it a chance. ^^b

Hey sweetie,

I know exactly what it's like being in your position and having someone else taking control of your feelings and making you do things that you're not comfortable doing but it does work out for the best most of the time. The doctor might be able to recommend things that you haven't thought of or help that you'd not dare ask for but feel like you need.
You're right; you wont walk in there and come back out totally different but you may walk in there and come out with that tiny bit of reassurance that someone else is going to try and help you.

I can't really word it better than space-to-breathe has, but I just wanted to show I've read and I care.
I too was sent to the doctors after friends found out that I wasn't so happy. And I'm in the process of getting help, so it can work hun.
These things take time, you won't come out cured but you'll come out having taken that first step towards recovery.

things went good today, i got a lot off my chest, which was so much easier without my mother there, and i'm going to see a counsellor in a few weeks too.
but yeah, thankyou all for reassurance & just generally caring :)
