blanking out in school
recently i have been blanking out lots.
what i mean by blanking out is everything seems to go all hazy and dream like.
you know when sometimes it feels as though you are dreaming? well i feel like that but a million times worse and it looks like im looking through fog or something and i can barley make out what anyone is saying and i cant make myself talk.
well today that happened in english.
so i sat there.
and half way through the lesson tears started to fall and i couldnt stop it.
so then everyone was in my face and talking to me.
i couldnt make out what they were saying and it was hard to tell who it was.
it was so scary.
this is the first time it has happened when im with other people, its normally when im by myself.
im petrified it will happen again at school.
what should i do if it happens again at school?
should i tell someone at school so my teachers know?
sorry thats long, im just so scared and dont know what to do

That happens to me a lot. It's awful when it happens in school so I can sympathise, it's really scary. I think it's some kind of dissociation? I'm not entirely sure if that's what yours is, but from what you've described it sounds like what I experience and my psych has said it's that. Are you not getting enough sleep? Or under any extra pressure or anything? Because I've heard it can be brought on by or get a lot worse with stress. Perhaps you could try your best to explain to your friends so they can let your teachers know if they recognise it happening. Are you seeing a therapist/psych or anything at the moment? If so I'd definitely explain what's going on. xo

What you described sounds like you may be dissociating. When people dissociate they get fixed on something and everything else seems to slip away. This has happened to me at school as well so I know they can be a scary thing.
I found that sometimes I'm able to fight it from happening. If you feel it starting to happen, try to keep moving your eyes and stay alert.
If telling your teachers will help make you feel more comfortable, then I don't think it's a bad idea. If it's something that's happening a lot in school it may me helpful to tell them. I'd say it depends on the severity of it interfering with class if you need to mention it to your teachers.
