why?
whenever you're feeling really happy and glad to be alive, there's always something to bring you down
nothing can ever just be straight forward and nice can it?
there's always something
and it wouldnt be so bad if the good times were worth being upset in between
but they're really not
why do we bother?

"Zeus did not want man to throw his life away, no matter how much the other evils might torment him, but rather to go on letting himself be tormented anew. To that end, he gives man hope. In truth, it is the most evil of evils because it prolongs man's torment."

I read your post, then my eyes fell down to read your siggy. You signature contains some very wise words, and I think says everything I wanted to say to you.

i agree, sometimes it does seem like there's always something. i guess i think that, as time goes on, we will learn to better deal with the bad things in between the good things, and so they won't affect us in such bad ways, and then the good times in between will seem better cos there won't be as much bad stuff in our heads. if that makes sense?!

Even as the stone of the fruit must break that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.
There are only two ways in which one can live their life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is.

omgosh this is so confusing
it's like a..... what's that thing called? a conundrum? i dont understand it. Erin is very smart but my mind is getting overwhelmed with the logic of the happiness on condition but happiness is only felt without condition but how can you not have conditions and when you are disappointed does that mean then that you deserve to not have happiness because you were expecting it?
i hope you are doing better now *hugs* sorry i am too confused to say anything supportive or helpful

If life was straightforward it would be boring! Imagine being happy ALL the time and not experiencing any kind of sadness or pain. I'm not saying we should enjoy it but that's what life is about: experiences. Getting through the bad times and enjoying the good as much as you can!
