I cant belive how much teachers wait to the very last minute. Becuse im a senior the teachers are like oh you have to do this and that or you dont graduate. i need something to relax me. with all that then you add my parents and stuff and thats when im screwed. the other day i was going to cut to relax a little bit or taking sleeping pills or something. But i decided not too for some reason. i dont know.
Cutting or taking the pills is not the answer to relax you, there are much healthier ways of relaxing than that. What are some things that you enjoy doing? Perhaps you could reward yourself by doing one thing nice for yourself every time you complete a piece of work. Also going for a walk in the fresh air can really help, I find this really helps lower my stress levels and anxiety. Also have you tried writing a list of the things you need to do so you can cross them out when you have finished to give you a sense of accomplishment. Take care hun

I'm glad that you didn't take any pills or cut because it doesn't help, not in the long run anyway. Like was said above treat yourself with something you like doing once you've done something you needed to. Also if you need to relax try having a hot bath, go for a walk, watch a dvd- anything to let your mind switch off. Look after yourself & if you need a chat feel free to me me.

Hey there how are things? Im sorry that your having such a difficult time. Please dont give up you can get through this. Keep fighting through this. I can understand that your having a very difficult and stressful time. If you feel yourself getting worked up then the best thing to do is to take a step back from everything and take lots of deep breaths. Stress really isnt healthy at all and if left alone it can cause severe problems so ideally it needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. Oding or cutting really wont help and will only make things worse. Try to keep yourself distracted as much as possible, like, going for a walk, listening to music, doing jobs to keep yourself busy, watching a movie, or posting on the fun and distractions forum. There is also the big distractions list that has other distractions you can try http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum...ead.php?t=1403 i hope this helps you. Please keep talking to us, Be gentle with yourself, please dont beat yourself up. We are all here for you. Look after yourself.
Cutting and/or taking pills = not the solution.
I think that this website has a section on relaxation techniques. I would say listen to your favourite music, go out for a long walk somewhere quiet (but safe), talk to a friend, go out with a friend, eat some chocolate, watch your favourite film etc etc.
I know I'm probably not being helpful, as these things never bring me down to earth.
PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.
I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

What about different meds? I've been on four different antipsychotics before I found one that could control the messed up organ in my skull.

I stopped taking my schizo meds and I ended up in a situation which involved being wrestled down to the ground by the police and being forcibly sedated because I got so out of control. I've been sent to a secure ward as a result of what happens when I stopped taking my meds.
Meds can really suck like ****, I know. Mine make me tired, dizzy and I've developed a tremor that comes and goes now. But that's far better than being sectioned.

I've gone off my meds now because they suck. What I said in that post is probably not true.
As in my other reply to your other post, what treatment are you going through atm?

Meds you take when only when they're required, not regularly.
PRN = prenso re nata , which is basically Latin for "take when needed".
