I am currently:
Triggering (SI) - I Hate this feeling.

I hate it, i have the urge to cut right now.
But i don't really know why. Today wasn't a bad day or at least worse than normal.
I mean arghhh. I don't want to cut because i am supposed to be going shopping for dresses soon, and my friends don't know that i started cutting again. i don't know what to do because i really want to cut right now, but at the same time i don't want to. errr.

i'm right there with you

I know what you're going through right now. One minute, I'll be completely fine, having a great day or enjoying myself and then BAM: I'll want to cut or go on a fast (I'm ana). I don't understand it. It's like a switch gets randomly flipped in my brain.

I don't have much advice except to talk to someone you trust. I have such a hard time talking out loud to people about important subjects such as self injury. I'd rather type or write than say it out loud. I guess it's a form of denial, I'm not sure.

I know there is a page of distractions. I personally listen to music or play online games. www.websudoku.com is a good site to play Sudoku. If not, there are plenty of things to do other than cut yourself.

Hey there sorry that your struggling. I can understand what your going through and i know its difficult. You can get through this though, please dont give up you can beat this. Do you have any support at all? Like a counselor? I know its difficult but its important that you dont beat yourself up and be to hard on yourself and this wil only make things worse for you. Please try to keep calm. Its best if you feel yourself getting worked up to take a step back from everything and take lots of deep breaths.

We are all here for you so you wont have to go through this on your own. Have you tried distracting yourself? There are lots of things you can do to keep yourself distracted like, listening to music, doing jobs to keep yourself busy, watching a movie, posting on the fun and distractions, going for a walk, or writing down your thoughts and feelings. know EXACTLY how your feeling at the mo, struggling and for not a huge amount of reasons. try and set yourself small goals so you can try and by pass the urges.

I hate urges. I hate them whether I'm going through a phase where Idon't want to harm or where I do so I definately know how you feel about it. Try and distract yourself, watch tele, listen to music, draw, write, go for a walk, whatever may take your mind off cutting. It might also help to talk to someone, a friend or a counsellor or even a family member. They might be able to help you with your problems so that you start to feel better. Even ifthey don't, the time you've spent talking to them has been more time which you haven't been cutting and been ignoring the urges so by the time you've finished they may have gone. Try and find other ways to cope rather than cutting such as writing stuff down, tlalking to someone or keeping yourself busy and then it might stop you from turning to cutting as often; though it doesn't work for everyone and you have to find things that work for you which can be really hard if you have a little voice in your head constantly telling you to cut.

As your friends know that you used to cut (by the sounds of what you said anyway) could you talk to them and explain that you're having a hard time at the moment and maybe not put pressure on you to buy a certain dress if you think that it might end up showing your cuts if you end up doing it coz I know friends can sometimes put pressure on people to buy certain things and that doesn't always make things easy.
