Triggering (SI) - feeling very alone...need someone to talk to
only just joined RYL a few days ago...im feeling worse about myself mainly because im not getting any support about SI. my parents accidentall found out and dont care...they just go on life with normal and said it was hormonal or whatever...two friends that i told about it were sympathetic and everything, but wont talk about it now and think it was a few odd times that i did it. i guess i just need someone that i can relate to, and who can relate to me and be talk about this sort of stuff. because i really am confused atm...

Hiya! Welcome to RYL!
I'm sorry your having such a hard time right now... not feeling supported sucks. A lot of people around here can relate to you, I think, and everyone's always glad to listen - Really, I know from experience that you can PM just about anyone if you need to talk and they'll be glad to help. And of course, my inbox is always always open!
Maybe you could write your parents a letter or something saying that it's not just hormornal and you could use their support, if you want to?
PM anytime, take care!

pm or ad on msn if you want, go to your doctors and tell your parents what they say, it probably isnt hormonal, but get a slight diagnosis to get some help and hope

Hey,
I saw the begining of your message on the main screen. I dont usually come into this part of the forum.
I have no personal experience of self-injury myself, but I do have a really good friend who I managed to help out of the same sort of thing as you.
If you would like to talk to me please please feel free, I may not be able to relate to you 100% but I haven't been through this which I think in a way is a good thing because I will be able to give you as much as my attention and help as I can without the worry of relapsing myself, so please please contact me I am ready and willing. =]
