I want to travel

I want to travel so badly but I have no one to go with... My sisters are both doing internships all summer, my parents refuse to travel because they are in the middle of a court case, and all my friends can't get time off work. There is one person...one person I'd consider visiting but I would have to start talking to her once every few days over the phone to feel comfortable actually visiting her. If I do that and we don't have good chemistry then I have no one to visit, and no one to travel with. I will likely get fired in the next month so I badly want to get out of town and do something fun but what in the world can I do when I have to travel by myself? I have about 1250 dollars in the bank to splurge.

I went traveling last summer and loads of people that I met were doing it (or had started) doing it alone.
My friend went away for 3 months on a volunteering holiday, another went to Australia,was there for 4 months on his own before his friends went out to meet him.
There's nothing wrong with going on your own. I'm planning a trip for when I've finished uni and most of that's going to be on my own.

I went on my own for 6 months last year, you do meet people soooo easily.
