hink a gallon of gas is expensive?

This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ........ $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ...........$9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ...... $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 . $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 . $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 .... $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 ..... $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ......... .. $25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 .$84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water 9 oz $1.49..........$21.19 per gallon?!
$21.19 for WATER

A gallon is roughly 4.5 litres, in the UK a Gallon of "gas" would at current prices cost around £5 ($10). Think yourself lucky that you're not paying UK prices for fuel, otherwise one day you may actually find yourself in a dilema with your last $10.............Fuel or Ocean spray?

But you don't have to buy all those things you cite by the gallon, still less by the 10 or 20 gallons.

I'm assuming from your post that you're from the US, where my understanding is that you can buy a third-hand car (auto) of about 1/4 acre in size, probably with 8 cylinders, for your equivalent of five pounds, three shillings and tuppence farthing (go on, you work that out!)

Meanwhile, here in UK we now pay in approximate terms $10 a gallon. Most of this is in tax, imposed on us by Government ministers who drive around London in pool cars, many of them armoured, which do perhaps 5 mpg on a good day. And, at the same time, they lecture us about greenhouse gases and carbon emissions as though we're all criminals, when those of us who live in the country are almost totally dependent on having our own transport.

You guys pay $10 for a gallon?! And I just complained about paying $3.48.

To hell with it though, it's still to expensive to me.

Don't knock Evian water. It's great water. Everyone should drink it! It's good for you!
