Triggering (OD) - Need urgent advice re Helen (Hells) please!

Hi, basically Helen text me and also Alexx (ReasonToBelieve) last night to say she took an overdose. I called NHS direct and they said she has got to go to A+E asap but she refused and I could not get hold of her address to call an ambulance.

She still hasn't gone and I have just spoken to her and she sounds really rough and keeps throwing up. Someone has just given me the number for where her Dad is working today. If I call him she would obviously get the help she needs but I know Helen really does not get on with her Dad and wouldn't want him to know.

Since the overdose was last night (around 7.30) do you think it is still worth her going to a+e and me contacting her Dad to take her??

Yes, possibly, as overdoses can lead to her liver and oragns being damaged and she will need to a blood test to find if she requires treatment. Its also important that she does not go to sleep on her back if she refuses. Update us and take care xxx

heya, yeah I told her last night if she wasn't going she needed to sleep on her side, as near as possible to recovery position and drink loads of water. I decided to call her dad half an hour ago and he is contacting her mum who she lives with so hopefully Helen is on her way to be sorted.
