CAMHS and general support

As others have mentioned, I'm not finding the support I'm getting from CAMHS particularly helpful.

They have got me doubting myself now, asking myself if I'm really feeling this or if it's just me making things up as they seem to think there is very little wrong.

However, if I ask for help are they allowed to turn around and say I don't need it?

thanks
Sarah

Hmm I have a key worker who is also my Counsellor, I only see them nobody else though I am waiting for an appt. from a clinical psych with regards to eating stuff.

Nobody has actually said I'm making things up but it feels like it at times.

I just don't want to be pushed away whilst I still need help.

Hey Lisa (cuddles)

It's absolutely bloody ridiculous. I'm taking some meds - not MH relatd. It's birth control which may affect my mood but I've certainly sung as it were.

I live with my boyfriend and it's just us too. I love the lifestyle but he sees me most. He knows the most about me.

At the moment I have 3 weeks off 2 more weekends off. He thinks that the time off gives me time to dwell on things and that is basically why I feel the way I do. I can see where he is coming from as being at work (is stressful and dreadful talking to customers who are sometimes angry on the phone) gives me routine, I have to be focussed and can't spend too much time thinking about myself - but the fact that this problems arise when I'm of tell me that I have a problem and it needs to be worked through or it will never go isn't that right?

thank you

Syrup

that is right sweetie, everyone need time to think about themselves and to work through any problems they have - any problems - it doesn't have to be mental health related. Don't forget that because ignoring them and focusing on something else is perhaps the worse thing you could do, because ignoring it won't make it go away...it could just make things worse as it'll build up.
Instead of the time off providing you with time to 'dwell' on things, as your boyfriend says, try and use it to perhaps try and seek more help? I know you're seeing various people, but if you don't feel it is helping, or you want things to move along faster, is there someone you could contact?
What I'm really glad about is that you recognise that there is a problem and you need to work through it - I know you can work through it, be patient but you'll come through this :)
Take care, you know where I am xxx<3
