sooooo
The lovely Ian (phoenix) an i over the coming months and summer 9assuming we get one) intend on going to a few places around the UK. No doubt road trip style-y.
We live in Cheshire (near chester) - we do the regular liverpool, manchester, birmingham frequently (unless theres something good going on you wana tell me about?)...we dont mind driving a fair distance..
so tell me where we could go!

I'd reccommend York. It's a very pretty city, tons of museums and historical stuff if that's what your into. The shopping is also very good, lots of little quirky and interesting shops. On an evening it's a fun place too, some fantastic restaurants and lots of interesting bars.
Newcastle is also a great place to go, though that is quite a long distance for you I should imagine.
stone henge, canterbury, bournemouth thats all i can think of at the mo. oh and london. if you go to london definately go to camden. some really cool shops there.
Edinburgh! Especially if you come during August cause we have the Edinburgh Festival then and there's just so much going on. It's pretty awesome and there's never a lack of things to do. Plus there's the Castle which is pretty cool (but expensive to get into) and if you feel like just chilling, the Gardens are really pretty. And of course we have all the usual shops and far too many touristy type shops.
I'd also recommend Cornwall, I went there on holiday last year and it was just so beautiful. The Eden Project is pretty impressive and St. Ives is a really pretty little town.
York definately. You could try going up to the moors if you want pretty places :) Knaresborough is good if you want somewhere quiet with little shops and a really scenic walk by the river. There's shops that sell sweets that's one of the oldest in england or something :)
See I cannot feel this, not matter how you try and in the real world, there's no goodbyes.
If your going to york, flamingo land is good fun.
Alton towers
urm not far from you is dee side with the ice rink.
In the summer its nice to take a picnic and go to llangollen or Betsy coweed (sp) which are in Wales.
Anywhere in Cornwall is gorgeous. Newquay is always a good option. Ace beaches, and lots of shops. And I also second the Eden Project. I've been twice and still haven't seen it all properly. Definitely worth a visit.
Washington!!!! just cause no one hardly knows it exists, we're near Newcastle Upon Tyne
and Broken Angel, the metro centre is in Gateshead not Newcastle, im picky sorry lol
also around here, Sunderland, great for nightlife, the metro centre, great for shops, newcastle, also great for shops, history, etc, washington, well we're not much good for anything except pasty-eating-babies, yes yoo did read that right babies eat pasties here
theres also Beamish Open Air museum nearby if you're into that sorta stuff, its well wicked, plus i used to work there so i can tell yoo ways to sneak in, what actually happens, and good places for food etc lol
York, Devon, Bath, Cornwall, Brighton, Cardiff :) stafford's quite pretty too, Poole harbour in Dorset. Brum's really good in the summer, the "beach" that's in the centre, the bmi baby one, its wicked cool :)
Swansea's lovely in the summer, when the tide is in, watching the sunset, and the mumbles, which is just down the road, is a nature reserve, one of those places of astounding national beauty... yeppps :)

you don't feel anymore
you don't care anymore
it's all gone
it's all gone
